Production Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Production Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Job summary:
The Production Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing maintenance throughout the Truss Plant, Wall Panel Plant, and office facilities. Work with a variety of automated woodworking and innovative component manufacturing machinery including assembly tables, roller presses, industrial saws, cranes, marking systems, conveyors, and more. Be a part of a small, effective maintenance team that prides itself on creativity, flexibility, and dedication to supporting production operations.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose malfunctions with interconnected mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software/hardware systems.
• Organize workflow and track progress through digital ticketing software.
• Contribute to the digital knowledge base with repair history and procedural information.
• Maintain and repair electric motors, gear boxes, PLCs, pneumatic cylinders, chain/belt drive assemblies, bearings, VFDs, scanners, encoders, servo-motor drives, and 3-phase/single-phase electrical assemblies.
• Work with production team to schedule PM’s and coordinate repairs.
• Facilitate machinery installations and facility improvements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work performed.
• Work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
• Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventative and unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 3-5 years of machinery maintenance and repair experience (Maintenance Tech III or equivalent).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to perform duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at a time – occasionally.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
