We are seeking an Estimator to join our team.

Job Summary:
The Estimator will prepare take-offs of materials for single-family and multifamily projects. The Estimator reports directly to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

• Understand architectural, engineering, specification, and scope requirements.
• Set up and maintain price sheets for reoccurring production builders.
• Estimate plan change requests.
• Perform cost analysis to determine the most efficient methods.
• Size beams.
• Track and follow up with pending bids.
• Maintain bidding and job costing data files.
• Communicate with designers, field staff, and customers.
• Assist with lumber and material purchasing.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Strong mathematical skills and visualization skills required.
• Extensive knowledge of blueprints.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to learn new software.
• Two years of estimating experience required.
• Understanding of wood construction.
• Experience with MiTek or Alpine and estimating software (PlanSwift).
• General Knowledge of International Residential Code is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Extended periods of time working on a computer.
• Lift up to 15 pounds.
