We are seeking a General Laborer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The General Laborer is responsible for safely handling lumber products. Verifies material meets customer requirements and company expectations. The General Laborer reports to the Floor Supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.

• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.

• Label material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count. Maintains a clean and organized work area.

• Bands, bundles, and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.

• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.

• Assists with other work areas by moving material and loading and unloading material carts.

• Participates in safety and other programs and meetings.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Manufacturing or lumber experience

• Working knowledge of basic math

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Stand for long periods of time
